Fragile State - 97×60cm oil on box canvas

This work is one in a series examining the instability hidden inside gestures of care, and demonstrates a quiet tension. The hold is soft, but uncertainty remains. Fragility is not passive - it watches, registers, and responds. The subject is no longer just being held, but existing within that contact, aware of its limits.

Across this serious the cropped figures remove identity, focusing attention on physical interaction - hands, pressure, proximity. The red background amplifies the emotional charge, blurring the line between warmth and alarm. Together the paintings question whether safety and fragility can truly coexist, or whether one inevitably reshapes the other.
