Safe Zone - 97×60cm oil on canvas

This work is one of a series of paintings examining the instability hidden inside gestures of care. A “safe zone”is not neutral - it is constructed, maintained, and sometimes enforced. The body is contained in this painting, the grip firm enough to quiet movement. Safety here is perhaps conditional.

Across this serious the cropped figures remove identity, focusing attention on physical interaction - hands, pressure, proximity. The red background amplifies the emotional charge, blurring the line between warmth and alarm. Together the paintings question whether safety and fragility can truly coexist, or whether one inevitably reshapes the other.
